My library has been undergoing a renovation for the last year. While it was being renovated, it was moved into a much smaller space across the street. This smaller building had actually been the original library about 100 years ago. At first the library was closed, and then after a month, it was opened again in this smaller building, and that’s the way it’s been ever since. Now however, the library renovation is done, and they will be moving back into the newly renovated building. While the moving process is going on, the library will be closed for about two months! Yes! Two months! I’m not sure how I’m going to survive.
And, yes, of course there are other libraries around here that I can go to. And I will, since I don’t think that I can take out enough books to last me two months. However, the library is my refuge and I love going there. At least I know that after this closing, the library will re-open into a new and improved building, and that it won’t be closing again. I’ll just have to hold on to that fact!
I guess I’ll just have to take this closure one day at a time. We’ll see how it goes!
